Let us go back a bit here real quick:
Circa 2015 to when I first met Luke & Chelsea whilst covering a wedding in Harare.
Since then I’ve had the pleasure of meeting and making friends along the way through covering weddings over the years, all of which have come as a result from the amazing people I’ve met in Zimbabwe since 2015.
Chelsea & Luke shared their vows with a breathtaking view of Vic falls behind them. Joined with close friends and familiar faces it was the perfect start to their wedding day!
Walking through the falls reserve (as far as we could before getting mildly wet!) was definitely an experience and highlight of my time there.
Guest’s were all welcomed by a gorgeous, outdoor reception under the African skies for an evening that was no doubt set to go on into the early morning hours: from what I was told the next day, that’s exactly how it went down!
A pleasure to have worked with such amazing vendors on the day that made it all come together.
Much Love to all the Zim family

In the heart of Africa, where the Zambezi River gracefully plummets into the magnificent Victoria Falls, Luke and Chelsea embarked on an enchanting journey of love that would be eternally woven into the natural hues and surroundings of this awe-inspiring landscape.
The couple’s love story, much like the thundering falls themselves, was a force of nature. Their decision to tie the knot against the backdrop of Victoria Falls was a testament to the raw beauty and majesty of their love.
The wedding ceremony took place on the lush riverbanks, surrounded by the symphony of chirping birds and the distant roar of the falls. Chelsea, the epitome of elegance, glided down the aisle in a flowing gown that mirrored the gentle cascade of water. Her bouquet, a masterpiece of local blooms, echoed the vibrant colors of the Zimbabwean landscape, creating a seamless blend with the natural surroundings.
Luke, waiting under a simple yet chic arch adorned with indigenous flowers, couldn’t help but be captivated as Chelsea approached. Their vows, exchanged against the backdrop of one of the world’s most incredible natural wonders, were a promise to stand as steadfast as the falls themselves, through the highs and lows that life would bring.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a warm glow over the falls, the couple’s first kiss as a married duo was met with cheers from friends and family. The natural beauty of Victoria Falls provided an ethereal atmosphere, creating a backdrop that needed no embellishment.
The reception unfolded on a terrace overlooking the falls, with tables adorned with earthy tones and natural elements. Neutral linens, wooden accents, and locally sourced floral arrangements evoked a sense of organic elegance. The couple opted for a menu that showcased the flavors of Zimbabwe, paying homage to the rich culinary heritage of the region.
The evening was filled with the melodic tunes of traditional African music, setting the stage for heartfelt toasts and joyous celebrations. As the night progressed, the falls were illuminated by the soft glow of fairy lights, casting a romantic ambiance over the celebration.

A highlight of the evening was the couple’s dance beneath the stars, surrounded by the rhythmic sounds of nature and the distant cascade of the falls. Luke and Chelsea’s love, much like the eternal flow of the Zambezi, was a force that couldn’t be contained.
The night concluded with a spectacular display of fireworks, mirroring the explosive joy that emanated from the couple and their loved ones. As Luke and Chelsea departed, hand in hand, they left behind a trail of laughter, love, and the timeless echoes of Victoria Falls—a poignant reminder that true love, much like nature itself, is a force that cannot be restrained.
In the heart of Zimbabwe, where the earth meets the heavens through the thunderous roar of Victoria Falls, Luke and Chelsea’s love story continues to unfold—a story forever etched into the natural hues and surroundings of one of Africa’s most iconic landscapes.
