An At-Home Love Story | Chinhoyi, Zimbabwe

Some love stories are written in the stars. Others begin with a move to the farm next door, a university holiday, and a chance meeting that changes everything.

For Zoe and Tyler, it was the latter.

Tyler had moved to Chinhoyi to work on a neighbouring farm when Zoe returned home for her university break. Somewhere between farm life, shared laughter and the beautiful simplicity of being together, their story began. And, as they say, the rest is history.

The two couldn’t complement each other more perfectly. Tyler is the ultimate social butterfly — an outdoorsman who loves his horses, family time and fixing just about anything mechanical. Zoe is his easygoing, homely other half, happiest when the children are happy, spending time in the garden or cooking something delicious. Both share a love for genuine people, good humour and a life without unnecessary drama.

Their wedding was a beautiful reflection of exactly who they are.

Held on their family farm in Chinhoyi, surrounded by the natural beauty of the Zimbabwean bush, the celebration was wonderfully relaxed, colourful and full of personality. Vibrant pink and coral florals brought the ceremony to life beneath the trees, while rustic wooden chairs and soft draping complemented the natural surroundings.

But what made this wedding truly special wasn’t just how beautiful it looked. It was how it felt.

One of our favourite moments was listening to the heartfelt speeches. There was something incredibly touching about hearing the stories, laughter and love shared between a family that was already so close-knit. This wasn’t simply two people getting married; it was a celebration of a life and family they had already built together.

As the sun disappeared over the farm, the celebrations continued beneath the trees, with candlelit tables, warm glowing lights, good food and plenty of laughter.

Nothing felt forced or overly formal. It was simply Zoe and Tyler, surrounded by their favourite people, celebrating in a place they call home.

And sometimes, those are the very best weddings of all.

A little colour, a lot of laughter, and a whole lot of love.
